Competition rules

Participation
Composers of any nationality without age restrictions are invited to participate in the
competition. The maximum permissible composition of instruments consists of two violins and two cellos.
The score should be written in a modern style. The duration of each score should not exceed 15 minutes.
Compositions publicly performed earlier and published are allowed. Scores awarded in other
competitions will not be considered.
To submit an application, you must fill out a special form in the “Application”
The participant will then be redirected to the entry fee payment page. The entrance fee is 80 euros.
The score should be sent in PDF format from the declared email address to the address specified in the
“Contacts” section. The title page of the score must be tagged with the same nickname that was stated at
registration.
Attention: The author’s last name should not appear anywhere.
Leave the message text window empty. In the “subject of the letter” section, specify only the pseudonym
and WhatsApp number.
It is allowed to send only one piece of music in each application. But authors can submit an unlimited
number of applications. Each application must be registered with a new nickname and paid separately.
It is recommended to send an audio recording of the score in a separate letter.
The score can either be made with the involvement of live performers, or using an electronic music editor
(for example, FINALE).
Leave the message text window empty. In the “subject of the letter” section, specify only the pseudonym
and WhatsApp number.
Attention: The audio recording must be no more than 15 MB in MP3 format.
Application deadline: July 15 2025
Persons who submitted applications later than the specified date will not be allowed to participate in the
competition.
Entry fee is non-refundable (except in the unlikely event if the competition does not take place).
Each jury member will evaluate each score according to the following criteria:
1) Factors of traditionalism;
2) Factors of novelty;
3) Coherence of thematic elements, intonation logic;
4) Culture of harmonious thinking;
5) Interaction of instrumental lines;
6) Unlocking the capabilities of tools instrument.
Applications will be processed until July 30.
On July 31, the participant will receive an e-mail from each member of the jury with a review and evaluation.

Four scores will be selected for the finals.
Finalists will receive an invitation on August 1 for the concert, which will take place on August 13 in Vienna.
The presence of the author is recommended, but is not mandatory. In case visiting the author himself pays for travel, accommodation and food.
